5 ways to reward myself this week

in life

Let’s put finances aside for a day or so and just enjoy ourselves. We worked hard throughout the week, got our statements straightened out, now it is time to reward ourselves with something we enjoy.

Of course, reward yourself with the mindset that you can afford it, don’t dig a hole for yourself.

Here is a list of how I will reward myself:

  1. Need to really unwind? Go out to a club and dance the night away to Trance music
  2. I am craving something cold, so I am gonna have an Ice Capp from Tim Hortons
  3. I really like the weather outside so I will go for a drive or walk along the lake
  4. Sleep in later this weekend
  5. Go out with some friends I haven’t seen in a while

How will you reward yourself?

Now this is what I call driving

I agree with you man we all deserve to reward ourselves once in a while. For me personally going on vacation is what makes school/work seem worth it or else I wouldn’t be too motivated.

Studenomics, thanks for your comment.
Yes, great suggestion I haven’t actually thought about that. Then again I haven’t taken a real vacation in a very long time.

This gives me an idea to write about how to save for a vacation and pay as little as possible.

Tom,

At my church, we have just finished a series about the sabbath, so the idea of taking time out is one which I have been thinking about quite a bit in recent times.

Yes, there is a time for work, study and everything else associated with our lives from a productivity viewpoint. But all work and no play is no way to live, and l particularly like the sound of that sleeping in, walking on the lake and most important – that delicious sounding ice-cappuccino!

Andrew, taking time off is very important and I started to realize this recently.
I think this happened for me because I never really had direction, strong goals and motivation to achieve something that I found rewarding. Or I simply did not give myself credit for those achievement and instead was focused on the next item.

Yes walking on the lake is so refreshing, I could be there all day out in the sun.
